Fit math practice into your day

A Session is a short, timed mix of mental math questions. On Play, choose how many minutes you have, then answer the first question whenever you are ready to start the clock.

  • SumNinja starts new players with approachable addition and subtraction, then gradually introduces harder questions as their answers show they are ready.
  • A short Session counts toward your practice rhythm and streak, so a few focused minutes still move your progress forward.
  • Multiplication and division appear later during guided play, but you can choose those skills yourself at any time.

Practice the math you choose

You can let a Session choose a balanced mix for you, or open Play and select a particular addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division skill yourself.

  • Use Speed when you want quick reactions, or Accuracy when you want to continue until you make a mistake.
  • Choose Tap to answer with four colored choices, or Type to enter the number yourself. You can switch during play or change the preference later in Settings.
  • Saved Settings remember a question mix you use often. Your choices belong to the current Player and are stored separately on each device.

Understand what you are improving

Progress turns your completed play into a clear picture of your practice. It helps you notice improvement, keep a routine going, and decide what would be useful to practice next.

  • Overview brings together recent activity, your practice rhythm, achievements, and suggested skills.
  • Performance shows changes in speed and accuracy. History lets you look back at the questions and answers from earlier play.
  • The colored skill map shows which questions are already part of your guided play and which ones you are working toward. Every skill remains available to choose yourself.

Keep every player’s progress separate

Add a Player for each person who uses SumNinja. Children, adults, friends, and family members can share one device without mixing their practice or results.

  • Open the player menu to add someone new or switch between Players. Each Player keeps their own level, Settings, answer method, history, and achievements.
  • SumNinja works without an account and stores Player data on the device, so you can continue practicing while offline.
  • Use Import and export to make a backup or move a Player to another device. SumNinja shows what will change before you confirm an import.
