How Integers practice works

Work out each answer in your head, then tap a choice or type it. You can start with a two-minute Session and choose a different pace on Play.

Four operations, one question at a time

Integers have no fractional part: they can be positive, zero or negative. Try all four operations. For example, 4 − 7 gives −3, so the answer can cross zero. When you divide, the answer is always a whole number.

See how it works

7 × 8 = 56

Split 8 into 4 + 4. Twice 7 × 4 is 28 + 28, which makes 56.

43 − 18 = 25

Take away 20 to reach 23, then add back 2. You removed 2 more than the question asked.
